Site Investigations
Site investigations may be necessary to confirm the presence of mineral (and its quality), to investigate geotechnical parameters and/or to install long term groundwater monitoring installations. The resulting data provides definitive information on a site. This data is then used to inform future works including resource estimations and quarry designs.

Various methods of investigation are available depending on the site and the reason for the investigation including trial pitting and drilling by various methods (shell and auger, flight auger, rotary percussive, rotary coring).
